Hellraiser and other wtg promo's - comp.'s

Legit release of the "Hellraiser" single
Motorhead was just coming out of their court case in mid-1990, they signed with Epic/WTG and spent the rest of the year recording a new album. Just prior to the album sessions, the band's former manager Doug Smith, released the recordings of the band's tenth anniversary show, much against the band's wishes, having previously that they did not want it released, in 1986. They recorded only four songs in the studio with producer Ed Stasium before deciding he had to go. When Lemmy listened to one of the versions of "Going to Brazil"he asked him to turn up four tracks, and on doing so, he heard Claves and Tambourines that Stasium had put there without the band's knowledge. He was fired, and Peter Solly was hired as producer. The story that Stasium tells is quite different. He had said that Lemmy's drug and alcohol intake were too excessive and he quit. The single "The One To Sing The Blues" issued on December 24, 1990 (&' & CD) and the 5th of January, 1991 (12") was followed by the album "1916" on January 21. The single, which was issued on 7", Cassette, shaped disc, 12", and CD reached No.45 on the U.K. Singles charts, and hit No.24 on the Album's Chart. On the 28th of March, 1992, the band played what would turn out to be Phil Taylor's last engagement at Irvine Meadows, CA. More bullshit led to the firing of their manager, and hiring a new one (despite having never managed a band before) in the midst of this, the band was recording "March or Die" in the east part of Hollywood during the 1992 riots. Three drummers ultimately worked on "March or Die" Phil Taylor, who was fired because he never returned the drum tracks for "Hellraiser" Tommy Aldridge who recorded most of the material, and Mikki Dee who played on "I Ain't No Nice Guy". A Song written for Ozzy Osbourne for his "No More Tears album. When Lemmy heard Mikki Dee audition on "Hellraiser" and "Hell on Earth", he was awarded the job. Lemmy had asked him prior to this, but Mikki declined due to his obligation with King Diamond.
With only two full lengths released for Epic/WTG, it's no wonder why they were flogged to death, with many compilations of songs from the two, as well as 2 album package deals. It can be kind of hard telling the difference between legit, or unofficial releases of these. For the most part, most are all legit, having only been repackaged.

Epic/WTG  compilation
Legitimate promo release of "Hellraiser"

Promo for "The One To Sing The Blues

Another obvious unofficial release.
